Mechanical Organisation of Water Resources Department, Government of Maharashtra has been rendering valuable services to the State in the form of Heavy Earth Moving Operations, Manufacturing & Errection of Hydraulic Gates & Hoists, Canal Maintenance Works, Emergency Services, etc. The excellent Canal Cleaning works rendered by Mechanical Organisation has resulted in significant cost reduction in Project Expenditure. For this Mechanical Organisation has received the Award in the form of cash of Rs 50,000 from Chief Minister Fund on 15th September ( Engineers Day ) 2003.
Giving due consideration to the role of Workers in Mechanical Organisation, it was unanimously decided to use the award money on annual interest basis to felicitate the outstanding workers of Mechanical Organisation for their meritorious works.
